Those arrested include photographer Vishnu Ghumre, 42, Nazerul Hasan Mehdi Asan Chowdhary, 42, Mohommad Malik, 37, and Abdul Hakim Mohommad Nazir Chowdhary- the three partners of builders of the ill-fated building, who were arrested earlier.

“The photographer worked in connivance with corrupt civic officials and builders. He worked as a double agent, clicking photographs of illegal buildings and also took money from builders,” said a senior crime branch officer. The accused were produced before a local court and have been remanded in police custody till April 20.

On April 4, the collapse of a seven-storey building in Shil Phata area of Mumbra claimed 74 lives and injured 64 others. The police are still on the lookout for more partners of the builders.
