Tutor accused of molesting student

Vashi resident, Anand Rawal, who takes private tuitions at his house, has been accused by his student, a thirteen-year-old boy of trying to molest him.

Rawal was beaten up by a mob and taken to Vashi police station following the complaint by the boy. Rawal has denied the allegation.

Raosaheb Sardesai, senior inspector at Vashi said, “We are investigating the matter, following which a case will be registered against Rawal.”

Rawal conducts tuition classes for students from Class 5 to 10. According to the boy’s uncle, “My nephew was the only student in the class at the time and so the teacher took advantage.”

The boy (name withheld) had joined the class on Monday. He said, “I had gone for tuitions when sir kissed me on my lips.”
