Ulhasnagar bizman robbed, murdered

Ashok Jethmalani, a businessman from Ulhasnagar was robbed and murdered near Seva Niketan Hospital when he was on his way to work. Three men fled with his bag containing Rs 25 lakh, reports Kiran Sonawane.

Mandaleshwar Kale, assistant commissioner of police, zone-4 ( Ulhasnagar) said Jethmalani was in the money and property investment business. He left home at around 11.15 am on his motorcycle. The accused followed him and tried to snatch his bag. When Jethmalani was trying to fend off the men, one of them took out a revolver and shot him and fled with the bag.

Jethmalani was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Kale said it looked like a robbery and murder case but possibility of business enmity cannot be ruled out. The police are investigating the case.
