Vigilance cells in all depts

To strengthen the anti-corruption wing of the state government, state Home Minister R.R. Patil has asked all departments to set up vigilance cells.

To strengthen the anti-corruption wing of the state government, state Home Minister R.R. Patil has asked all departments to set up vigilance cells. He promised that anyone who helps the department to identify a person accepting a bribe will be given the same amount within a month.

“I have asked the anti-corruption department officers to find out the structure of the departments and their working patterns. This will help them understand the root of corruption,” Patil said. Each cell will have one officer from the Anti-Corruption department, and private lawyers will be appointed along with them to look at cases.
