At Santacruz, the minimum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees below normal, while at Colaba, it was 0.2 degree above normal at 23 degrees Celsius. At Colaba, the maximum temperature was 33 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees above normal, while at Santacruz it was 1.9 degrees above normal at 34 degrees Celsius.

Weathermen said a similar weather pattern would continue for a few more days. “The day temperature is high because of the existence of a high-pressure condition off the coast. But in the evening, an absence of clouds is allowing the day’s radiation to escape, thus reducing temperatures,” said S Sudevan, director, India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD predicted that on Thursday, the minimum temperature will be 18 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius.
