Band fined for dumping septic waste

The Dave Mathews Band has been fined $70,000 in civil penalties for dousing liquid human waste on boat passengers during a tour.
The Dave Mathews Band has been sued for dousing a tour boat passengers with over 800 pounds of liquid human waste.

According to the lawsuit, the driver of a bus leased by the band allegedly emptied the contents of a septic tank from the Kinzie Street Bridge onto a group of over 100 people on an architecture tour.
After the incident, the boat's captain had to turn the vessel around and take passengers back to the dock, where they were refunded. The boat had then to be cleaned with disinfectant.
As per the lawsuit filed by the boat company, the popular neo-hippie fusion band will have to shell out $70,000 in civil penalties, reported hollywoodreporter.com.
