Chris Martin spreads love, stops his show for a fan proposal
A video of Coldplay singer, Chris Martin, stopping his concert to let a fan propose marriage to his girlfriend on stage goes viral.
Coldplay’s lead-singer Chris Martin made a dream come true for a fan when he stopped mid-way to let him propose to his girlfriend on stage.
The British rock band was performing in Melbourne, when Martin stopped in the middle of playing, “Sky Full of Stars”, a popular number from the tour album - to let the 31-year-old Lonardo Tanno, propose to his girlfriend.
Martin invited Felicia Lie, Tanno’s 26-year-old girlfriend on stage and cheered while Tanno asked Lie to be his life partner.
Once on stage, Tanno bent down on knee and proposed. “Thank you for giving me the chance to love you,” Tanno said in a heartfelt speech as the crowd cheered for the love-birds.
“So in the midst of Coldplay, my new best friend Chris, and all the people here in Melbourne I just want to say I love you. Will you marry me?” he said.
And while Martin played the perfect rockstar Cupid, he also joked that Tanno should make his proposal quick, because, “people have to catch trains and shit.”
Incase, you were wondering, the girl said yes.
The bride-to-be told Daily Mail Australia about her joy at sharing the stage with the pop star and that she appreciated how much he ‘went beyond what he was suppose to be doing for us.’
Needless to say, social media loved the romantic proposal and called it the ‘ultimate’ expression of love.
