Punjabi rapper Raftaar is thankful to God and his fans for all the love that he is showered with, even after some fans at his recent Gurgaon concert left him badly bruised in an attempt to get clicked with the music sensation.

For the uninitiated, Raftaar — who has delivered hit tracks such as Singh And Kaur, Tamanche Pe Disco, Dhup Chik and Madam Ji — was performing in Gurgaon on Thursday for a crowd of more than 6,000 when fans got out of control and broke barricades to get selfies clicked with him.

“I love my RAA armyand nothing in the world can distance me from them. It is because of them that Dilin Nair is Raftaar today. This incident has just proven how my fans’ love (for me)has grown in a matter of few years. I am grateful to the almighty for all the love he keeps showering on me,” the rapper, who flew to Kolkata the next day for another performance, told us.

Giving details of the incident, Raftaar’s manager Ankit Khanna told us that this was the first time they witnessed such a fan frenzy. “The crowd was rowdy. Raftaar’s scars are deep, and he has a hectic touring schedule in the coming few weeks,” said Khanna.
