The first song to be released from the Dabangg 2 soundtrack, Dagabaaz re reprises the folksy vibe of the hit music from the prequel. Composer Sajid of the duo Sajid-Wajid shares the experience of working on the song, which is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and

Shreya Ghoshal.

Effect of evolving story:

"Since the sequel features the pair as a married couple as opposed to just lovers in the prequel, Dagabaaz re has a more mature sound. People are telling us that it is sounding bigger than 'Tere mast mast do nain' from the first film. But the song is just a teaser. The rest of the music in the album is even hotter and better."



Planning in advance:

"We had done our homework well in advance. We started planning on the sequel's music while working on Dabangg. So most of the singers who were part of the first film will be heard in the sequel."

Keeping with the times:
"This soundtrack is more current and has a lot more aggression. Some of the songs feature hilarious lyrics and we're sure people will like them."
