Singer Katy Perry has set a new milestone by becoming the most followed person on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
The 31-year-old Roar hitmaker has 90 million followers, the highest for any Twitter user.
Announcing the newly set record, the site itself tweeted, “It’s party time, @katyperry! With 90 million on the guest list, we’re gonna need a really big dance floor.”

The American-born singer replied, “Dang this is tight.”
Pop star Justin Bieber is not far behind with 83.9 million followers, while Perry’s arch-rival Taylor Swift is followed by 79 million users.
