King of Pop thrills again: Michael Jackson's new video debuts on Twitter

Michael Jackson's new video, A Place With No Name, was released on Twitter on Thursday morning at 8.30am. One of the first music videos to release on the microblogging site, the song is from MJ's posthumous album Xscape and will be available to users for 12 hours.

His Twitter account released A Place With No Home as one of the first music videos to premiere on the social platform. The song is from MJ's posthumous album

Xscape.



The video is available for Twitter users exclusively for 12 hours, starting 8.30am Thursday morning.





"Music is the No 1 most-discussed subject on Twitter in the US and 50% of all of our users follow at least one musician," Shavone Charles, a Twitter spokesperson was quoted as saying.



"Music fans from around the globe flock to discover and discuss new music in the moment," she added.



The video will also be broadcast in New York City's Times Square.



A Place With No Name is the first music video to launch on Twitter. It features outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage from the video for Jackson's 1992 single In The Closet.
