Popstar Madonna’s latest album, MDNA, has struck gold in India. “The album debuted straight in at no. 1 on the national Planet M retail charts and is now the fastest selling international album in India this year,” said an official spokesperson.
MDNA, which has spawned the hits Give Me All Your Lovin feat. M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj and Girl Gone Wild was released on March 26 worldwide and has debuted No.1 on the iTunes charts in 40 countries. The record has also witnessed the biggest one day pre sale on iTunes by any artist in history.
Also, the Girl Gone Wild video, with 32 million views, is her most viewed video on YouTube. MDNA is Madge’s fifth no. 1 studio album in a row.
