"When we formed the band in 1998, we were called Boys of Your Choice or Boy-C Times Music wanted us to have a very Indian name and so we changed it to Bindaas Boyz since our image is also very chilled," said Vikram as other band members George, Sanjeev and Saawan nodded.

"Our album is out and out pop. There are influences of Punjabi, remixes and also original compositions," added Vikram.

Bindaas Boyz has done more than 80 shows till date, as also opening acts for artistes like Sukhbir, Sukhvinder Singh and Harbhajan Mann.

"Movie premiers, college festivals, public concerts, road shows, festive celebrations, private parties; you name it and we have done it," said Vikram.

With so much competition and Bollywood music having a far more important place, where does that leave them?

"It is going to take time for us to distinguish our sound in the clutter. We agree that the music is sounding the same these days but once we are heard we will make the difference felt," said Vikram.
