Weirdest band name you’ve heard?
That would have to be a band called Where’s My Pants? I would love to know if these guys actually perform without pants!

A break-up song you would turn to?
‘It must have been love, but it’s over now’ by Roxette. This song from Pretty Woman (1990) may be cheesy, but completely works on my tear glands.

Craziest music concert you’ve attended?
Fleetwood Mac live in concert after years at the Madison Square Gardens! The performace was electrifying and there was the smell of marijuana everywhere. I guess it was an audience of people who had grown up in the ’60s.

An actor you would like to hear sing?
Al Pacino and Irfan Khan... because both have such a distinctive tonal quality. It would be fascinating to hear what they would do with a melody.

Best bathroom song?
‘Samundar mein nahake aur bhi namkeen ho gayi hoon...’

Most difficult song on karaoke?
My favourite song is one that is done to death — ‘Hotel California’ by The Eagles. Though the most difficult would be any song by Led Zeppelin.

Song you’ve OD-ed on in the recent past?
I’ve been listening to the soundtrack of Rockstar and love how Rehman weaves in each song.

Most irritating track...
‘Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi...’

Band you’re embarrassed of loving in the past?
Spice Girls... I used to memorise their songs after school. Really not something I am too proud of!

Best long-drive album?
Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.
