According to a source, the 22-year-old, who split from singer Justin Bieber in October 2014 after four years of dating, wants to revamp her image, reports okmagazine.com.

“Selena is tired of being seen as Justin Bieber's lovesick ex, so she's hatched a plan to do her own reality show."

“Selena thinks a reality show could boost her career,” the source said.

Kris, 59, whose daughters Kendall, 19, and Kylie Jenner, 17, have had a rocky friendship with Gomez in the past, is convinced the series would be a huge hit with the star's fans.

The source added: "She's serious when she tells Selena that her show will cause the Kardashians' own ratings to dip."
