Last night, Delhi’s movers and shakers experienced a Parisian punch. DJ Ravin, the resident DJ of the fabled Buddha Bar in Paris, spun some magic at the Blue Bar at the Taj Palace hotel.

“I have performed in India a few times before, and each time, I’ve had the most amazing audience around. They take their music very seriously here,” says Ravin, who has been spinning at some of the biggest clubs in Paris since the 80s, and has even played at designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s fashion show. “Whether it’s a club or a fashion show…I just spin music which I know will appeal to everyone irrespective of the setting,” he says, adding, “Of course, tastes differ, but a good DJ is someone who gets the audience to like what he’s playing and not just play what the audience wants.”
