ALIGARH: Rajasthan governor and former UP chief minister Kalyan Singh on Sunday said the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was not a minority institution as the central government allocated funds to it through the University Grants Commission.

Answering media queries on who was likely to be projected as the chief ministerial candidate from the BJP in the 2017 UP assembly elections, he said, “The party has many faces. The UP CM candidate will be decided by the party but before that we all need to work hard for the elections.”
