Dalit group calls off rail roko after govt calls for talks

AHMEDABAD: The Rashtriya Dalit Adhikar Manch called off Saturday’s rail roko late on Friday after the Gujarat government called them for talks to discuss their demands.

AHMEDABAD: The Rashtriya Dalit Adhikar Manch called off Saturday’s rail roko late on Friday after the Gujarat government called them for talks to discuss their demands. Post the Una flogging incident, Dalit groups in Gujarat have been demanding five acres of land for every BPL Dalit family in the state from the government.
