NEW DELHI: The Arun Jaitley headed high-powered committee set up to strategise the communication roadmap for two of PM Narendra Modi’s pet programme — Swachh Bharat Mission and Ganga Rejuvenation – has pushed for using communication innovations to bring about social and behavioural change among the people.

Following the first meeting of the committee, Jaitley said that an integrated communication strategy incorporating key messages, tools, outreach and innovation would be critical for enhancing the awareness, visibility, ownership and behaviour change for the two programmes” Jaitley also highlighted the need to innovatively engage different institutions to enhance citizens’ participation.
