Sonia advised to remain in hospital

NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi developed infection on Thursday after her shoulder reconstruction surgery on August 3 and will stay at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here. Her health had suffered after viral fever, dehydration, and dislocation and fracture of her left shoulder during her Varanasi road-show on August 2. “Today morning, a team of doctors examined Mrs Gandhi, and advised her to remain in hospital on account of fever due to infection. She is on antibiotics and is showing signs of improvement,” read the hospital’s health bulletin.
