NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti has been served a show-cause notice by the EC for alleged violation of model code of conduct while filing her nomination for the Anantnag assembly seat bypoll.

State chief electoral officer said the notice was served following objection that the car in which she had come to file her nomination was carrying the national and state flags.
