According to the police, the mother was called by the school authorities as her son had abused a teacher and the school wanted to take disciplinary action against the student.

An FIR has been registered against a mother of class 8 student of Marigold Public School in Sector 19 of Noida for allegedly misbehaving and manhandling a teacher. The incident took place on September 16.

According to the police, the mother was called by the school authorities as her son had abused a teacher and the school wanted to take disciplinary action against the student.

“The mother was told that her son had misbehaved with the teacher on multiple occasions and action will be taken against him. The student’s mother got upset over it and misbehaved with the teacher. We have registered a complaint against the mother,” said Senior Superintendent of Police, Love Kumar.

According to the police, the student studied in class 8 and his mother was called to complain against him but she instead got angry with the teacher. A case has been registered under section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of Indian Penal Code.

The complaint was registered by the principal of Marigold Public School. “The teacher who was manhandled by the mother was very hurt with the whole incident. The school had called the mother thinking that she will scold the kid for misbehaving with the teacher. Instead, she started abusing the teacher concerned,” said a police officer.

The district magistrate has made it very clear that the way school authorities will be held accountable if the safety of any student is compromised, the same will be applied to parents if they misbehave or create any ruckus unnecessarily.

DM has said that no parent is allowed to take law in their hands and action will be taken against them if they break any rules and regulations. “Creating a conducive atmosphere for kids in schools is the responsibility of parents too. Anybody who is found breaking the laws, they will face strict action. Parents can’t misbehave with teachers or create any ruckus in the school. Both parents and schools have to create a healthy atmosphere for students,” said BN Singh, DM.

After the recent incident of Ryan International School, Gurgaon wherein a student was found murdered inside the school premises, DM had asked all the school authorities and management to make sure that the safety of students is not compromised. Many teachers had complained during the meeting that parents also misbehave with them over pointless issues.
