A 35-year-old woman on Sunday lodged a complaint that she was gang-raped by four men in Kondli Banger village in Greater Noida, the police said.

The victim, a widow who stays along with her two children, said that the four men raped her on Saturday night when she had gone out to bring water.
"The four men overpowered me as I stepped out of my house. They started beating me, took me to an isolated place and took turn to rape me," said the victim.
The woman alleged the police did not lodge her complaint and made her wait at the police station. "I went to lodge a complaint but the police did not take any action. They did not register an FIR and didn't even take me for a medical test. The made me sit throughout the day," she said.
The police denied the allegation and said her complaint was taken immediately.
The victim claimed that she was raped by one of her relatives and his friends. "We have taken her complaint and started the investigation. We are yet to arrest the accused," said a senior police officer, adding that she was not made to wait at the police station.
