#DipaKarmakar rules Twitter space after she vaults into Rio 2016 final

Twitter went into a frenzy as everyone, including actors, sportspersons and the politicians celebrated Dipa’s historic day and wished her luck for the final.

Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar’s spirited performance during her qualifying round for the individual vault not only earned her a berth in the finals at the Rio Olympics, it also the earned her much-needed admiration and support from the people back home.

The historic feat made her the first Indian to make the cut in her debut Olympic Games.

The achievement didn’t go unnoticed on Twitter too where prominent personalities in politics, sports and entertainment lauded Karmakar for putting up a good show.
