Maharashtra women dominated the air rifle event today by claiming both the individual gold medals in the 34th National Games here.

On day one of the shooting competition at the Tikait Umrao Shooting Range in Mega Sports Complex here, Priya Agarwal showed nerves of steel as she narrowly clinched the gold medal pipping statemate Pooja Ghatkar.
With a 9.9 in her final shot, Priya totalled 495.5 as compared to 495.2 by Pooja, who lost despite shooting 10.4 in her last round. Karnataka girl Kavitha V bagged the bronze with a total of 494.6.
Maharashtra clinched the team gold totalling 1171, while Madhya Pradesh (1166) bagged the silver and Delhi took the bronze with a total of 1163.
