The men beat Northern Ireland, Scotland and Malaysia, blanking them 3-0, to top Group F. The women lost their clash against Singapore in Group E but won against Scotland and Wales.

Against Northern Ireland, Sharath Kamal was as calm as ever as he defeated Keith Knox, 11-3, 11-5, 11-3. Soumyajit Ghosh was a bit out of sorts but still managed to pull off a straight-sets victory over Paul McCreery, 11-6, 11-9, and 11-8.

But the highlight of the morning session was Sanil Shetty. His Irish opponent, Peter Graham, could manage only nine points from three games, as Sanil completed the victory in less than 20 minutes.

The women too had an easy run against Scotland, beating them 3-0, but pitted against Singapore, the tournament favourites, they lost 1-3.

They recovered to beat Wales 3-0 and finish behind Singapore in Group E. Like the men, they sealed a semifinal spot against England.
