Indian contingent arrives

The Indian contingent led by triple-jumper and first Asian GP gold-medallists Ranjith Maheshwari, quartermiler Shiekh Mortaza and Krishna Poonia reached Bangalore late on Thursday.
Fresh from their exploits at the first Asian GP, the trio are hoping to better their performances here. Seema Antil, who had a silver-medal effort in Pune despite heaving the discus to 59.51m, and Poonia too are expected to dish out a better performance here.
