Bihar man gets life for raping minor
A court in north Bihar’s Darbhanga has sentenced a man to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on him for raping his 7-year-old niece.

A court in north Bihar’s Darbhanga has sentenced a man to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on him for raping his 7-year-old niece.
Rajesh Prasad Singh, a resident of Rustampur village, had sexually assaulted the child in October 2010. Scolded by her mother, the girl had gone out to the courtyard of her house, from where, Singh had carried her off to a nearby orchard.
Later, the girl fell unconscious due to excessive bleeding and had to undergo treatment.
