Crime in Bihar is down, says governor

After hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Republic Day governor RS Gavai said Bihar's law and order situation has improved.

Bihar's law and order situation has improved, Governor RS Gavai said on Saturday after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Republic Day.

In his address at the historic Gandhi Maidan, the governor lauded the state government's initiatives to battle crime and also to bring about development in Bihar.

"Bihar is making speedy progress. The law and order has (also) improved " Gavai said.

In view of the Maoist threats to disrupt Republic Day functions, elaborate security arrangements were made across the state.
