Talking to reporters on the sidelines of his Janata Darbar Programme here, Kumar said, "It is a matter beyond comprehension as to how the two universities can be opened just at an expense of Rs 240 crore."

He said that the state government had to sanction Rs 1000 crore for opening an agriculture university at Sabaur in Bhagalpur district.

Kumar said he would approach the Centre seeking more funds for the two central universities in Gaya and
Motihari.
