'Shotgun' failed to protect Bihari pride: Shekhar Suman

Taking a dig at BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha, TV star and Congress nominee Shekhar Suman on Monday alleged Sinha did nothing to protect "Bihari pride" during the MNS attacks in Mumbai last year.

Taking a dig at BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha, who is pitted against him in the Patna Saheb Lok Sabha constituency, TV star and Congress nominee Shekhar Suman on Monday alleged Sinha did nothing to protect "Bihari pride" during the MNS attacks in Mumbai last year.

"What did he do to protect the Bihari pride, particularly when Biharis were being beaten up by MNS activists in Mumbai?" Shekhar Suman told reporters in Patna at party's state headquarters at Sadaqat Ashram.

"What has he done as union health minister either? If Sinha has done anything for Biharis then vote for him otherwise it is upto you to take a decision," he said.

Suman, however, added, "Sinha is like an elder brother to me."
