Youth stabbed to death in hospital

Police on Sunday morning recovered the body of a youth from the roof of Barsoi Referral Hospital here, 60 km from the district headquarters. The youth, aged around 23-24 years, had later been identified as the son of a compounder of the hospital.

The deceased, Abhay Kumar, son of Rajendra Mochi, was stabbed to death late on Saturday night, Ram Balak Ram, officer in charge (OC), said. Abhay was a part II student at DS College, Katihar, his family said.

Sunil Kumar, brother of Abhay, said Abhay had gone to the hospital, which was barely 50 metres away from his home, on Saturday night and he never returned. gHe must have seen something objectionable in the hospital and the criminals might have killed him to destroy witness,h he alleged.
