Down 26/4 in the fifth over of the chase, Delhi Capitals looked like they were about to mess up a straightforward 142-run target. But nerves of steel from the unflappable Tristan Stubbs in support of a star turn from player of the match Sameer Rizvi saw the pair pile on 119 runs, and take the two points back home from the Ekana Stadium.

T Natarajan barely had any gametime for DC in 2025 due to injuries, but is set to be a key bowler this season. He looked close to his best as he took 3 crucial wickets, showing that he still has that gamechanging spell in him – dangerous signs for the rest of the squads. (PTI)

Rizvi started extremely slowly, only managed 5 off his first 13 balls. But a no-look upper cut for six got him going: he ultimately bulldozed five fours and four sixes, reaching a second IPL half-century in a row and finishing on 70*(47). A very mature performance. (PTI)
