A fire broke out in Metro Hospitals and Heart Institute in Noida. Police and hospital staff evacuated scores of patients after the fire broke out around 11:30 am on the third floor of the hospital at the corner of a busy intersection in Noida Sector 12. The Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy committee today reduced the policy interest rate by 25 basis points to 6.25%, a move that could lead to banks reducing lending rates for consumer and home loans.
