The Indian Space Research Organisation has signed a contract with a Russian company Glavkosmos for selection support, medical examination and space training of Indian astronauts for the country’s proposed maiden manned space mission ‘Gaganyaan’. The Congress and the Left have started joint campaigns on every issue in West Bengal, both on and off the streets, in a bid to emerge as a third alternative to the ruling Trinamool Congress and the key opposition Bharatiya Janata Party. Communist Party of India(Marxist) legislator and Left leader in the state assembly Sujan Chakraborty said, “We are together when it comes to taking up people’s issues and combating the TMC and the BJP.” (ANI)

The four British, two American and one Australian and an Indian mountaineers were reported missing on May 31 after they failed to return to Nanda Devi’s base camp – Munsiyari. (ANI)
