A part of a footover bridge collapsed at Andheri station in Mumbai on Tuesday morning following heavy rain hitting suburban local train services. Five people were injured in the mishap, two of them with serious injuries, and were admitted to Cooper hospital in Juhu. The politician’s plea was filed before Special judge Arvind Kumar who sought Delhi Police’s response and kept it for hearing on Wednesday. Over 1,500 Indian pilgrims, undertaking Kailash Mansarovar yatra, have been stranded in Nepal in the mountainous region near Tibet due to inclement weather. India has sought assistance from Kathmandu in their evacuation.
