Photos: Germany contemplates easing restrictions as COVID-19 cases fall
Germany saw new coronavirus cases fall for the sixth consecutive day as the country contemplates whether to extend a nationwide lockdown beyond this week. The country might decide to ease some of the restrictions put in place to contain the virus’s spread, Economy Minister Peter Altmaier said Tuesday in an interview on ARD television. Chancellor Angela Merkel and Germany’s 16 state leaders are slated to discuss the issue on Wednesday, April 15.
