19-year-old killed over past feud in Pune

A 19-year-old was killed on Saturday evening by a group of men over an old feud. The deceased was identified as Amit Pandit Kamble, a resident of Old Ajinthanagar in Chinchwad area of Pune.

Amit's body was found with its head smashed and injuries on other parts of his body. The body was discovered in a tin shed by his father, Pandit Kamble, 44, who is also the complainant in the case. The tin shed is located near the Mahindra showroom in Ajinthanagar, according to the police. The crime took place in the jurisdiction of Nigdi police.

Various police officials, including senior police inspector (PI) Vijaykumar Palsule of Nigdi police station rushed to the spot and secured it.

Based on Kamble's complaint, a case under Sections 302 (murder), 143 (unlawful assembly), 147 (rioting), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 37(1)(3)135 of Maharashtra Police Act was registered against a group of five to six people at Nigdi police station. Senior PI Palsule is investigating the case.
