Boy flying kite falls off 4th floor in Kondhwa, dies

According to Kondhwa police, on Sunday at 8 am, Sheikh and his friends went to a building under construction behind VIT college to fly kites. Sheikh slipped off the 4th floor of the building. He died on the spot.

An eight-year-old boy died, after falling off a building while flying a kite on Sunday morning in Kondhwa. The deceased has been identified as Ateek Sheikh.

According to Kondhwa police, on Sunday at 8 am, Sheikh and his friends went to a building under construction behind VIT college to fly kites. Sheikh slipped off the 4th floor of the building. He died on the spot.

His friends reported the incident to his family, who in turn informed the police.

The deceased boy, a resident of Kondhwa, was a fourth grader at the Pratibhatai Pawar school in Kondhwa. His father Chand Sheikh works as a driver, police said. The police have registered a case of death, however, they have initiated a probe to find out if there was any foul play.
