Previously, the police had arrested Ravindra Chorge, who, along Rahul Shivtare, shot Shah dead in the parking lot of his residence on Prabhat road on the night of January 13.
The other accused who was arrested on Tuesday has been identified as Surendra Pal (36), a resident of Azadnagar in Thane (West), Mumbai. Pal aided the duo in hiding the two pistols used by them for committing the murder and hid the weapons at his house.
Deven Shah (56), founder of Ambika Corp, was shot dead by the accused duo outside his house on Prabhat road. Shah, who used to reside at Sayali Apartments in Lane No 7 of Prabhat road, was shot at around 11:05 pm on Saturday night below his apartment by Chorge and Shivtare. They sent a person who runs a laundry shop there to call Shah downstairs.
Initially, Shah’s son Atit had come downstairs but the duo told him that they had come to meet his father and not him. Later, when Shah arrived downstairs; he was instantly shot dead by the two assailants. Shah received two fatal bullet injuries in the chest and ribs.
