Dr Pratibha Shinde president of Vai Municipal Council arrested by ACB

Satara ACB officials said that they received a complaint by a contractor that Dr. Shinde had demanded Rs 14,000 to clear a bill which was related with construction of toilets.

Newly elected president of Vai Municipal Council Dr Pratibha Shinde was arrested by Satara anti-corruption bureau along with her husband on Friday noon.

Dr Shinde and her husband, who is working with a prominent high school, were caught red handed while accepting cash by Satara ant-corruption bureau on Friday. (HT REPRESENTATIVE PHOTO)

Dr Shinde and her husband Sudhir were taken to Satara after they were caught in private clinic run by Dr Shinde. The incident has generated sensation in the political circles.

Dr Shinde got elected as Vai president two months back as a BJP candidate. She won the election with a margin of only one vote.
