Friendship cup: Krida Prabodhini hammer Green Meadows

Semi-finals decided, but organisers want more tourneys

Krida Prabodhini, Balewadi, scored eight goals against Green Meadows, to enter the semi-finals of the Friendship Cup on Monday in Pimpri-Chinchwad at the Dhyanchand hockey stadium.

Rahul Shinde and Harish Shindge scored two goals each.

The goal frenzy began in the second minute of the game when Rahul Shinde converted a penalty corner with the help Rise Mujawar who assisted.

Green Meadows only strikes of note were in the 23rd minute by Jay Kale and in the 58th minute by Ravindra Singh.

We have state level players like captain Aniket Gurav and Rahul Shinde. Players missed a few easy chances which should have been converted. We need focus on that part to boost our game, said Ajit Lakra, coach, Krida Prabodhini Balewadi

I had only one thing in mind to go in the middle and keep attacking. Our aim is to win the final. I practice for two hours daily, where I focus mostly on fitness and core exercises, that helps me to keep fit and perform better.
