FYJC admissions in Pune: Second round of first come, first served to be held from September 5

With only a few seats open for admissions, the education department has asked colleges to surrender their quota seats from September 4 to 5 from 11 am to 5 pm.

The first come, first served (FCFS) round for admissions to the first year junior college (FYJC) Class 11, which began its first round on August 27, is going to conduct its second phase from September 5.

With only a few seats open for admissions, the education department has asked colleges to surrender their quota seats from September 4 to 5 from 11 am to 5 pm. Only students with 60% or above marks will be able to try for admissions in this round. Option for new registrations or for those who have partially filled the registration form will be available online, the education department informed on Sunday.

As per the revised timetable, the overall vacancy list for FCFS round for the first category (60% and above) will be displayed on September 5 and on September 6 from 10 am to 5 pm, the FCFS panel will be active for students eligible in this category. The selected students will, then, be able to confirm their admissions by approaching the allotted junior colleges by 3 pm of September 7.

Based on the number of completed admissions on September 7, the vacancy list for the second category (35% and above) will be displayed on the website.

The next round for this category will follow in the similar manner till September 10. After this, the admission process for the third category, allowed to keep terms (ATKT), will begin on September 10. All students who have passed overall will be able to apply and confirm their admissions in this round till 3 pm of September 12. Under the ATKT process, the students are allowed to pursue pre-graduation and graduation and study in the next grade if they have failed in 1 to 4 subjects. But they must pass the papers they failed before while entering into the next grade
