2 security guards held for sexually harassing 5-year-old girl in Pune
The elder brother of the girl was with her when the incident happend.
Two security guards were arrested on Wednesday by the city police for sexually harassing and threatening a 5-year-old girl in Wakad.

Sanjeet Ranjeet Chasa (20) and Mangal Shukla Vaidya (23), both residents of Sandeep Kalate chawl, were arrested by the police after the mother of the child approached filed a complaint. The incident happened a week ago between 6 pm and 9 pm when the girl was playing in the parking area of the residential society, according to the complaint.

The police produced the two at the local court on Wednesday, the police said. The two have been remanded to police custody till September 19, according to the police.
The two men found the girl playing in the parking lot and made her enter the society lift with them where they sexually harassed her, according to the police. The elder brother of the child was with her when the two asked her to enter the lift and show them her genitals, according to the police. The boy told his mother about it after which the 32-year-old mother of the child approached the police after she coaxed her child into revealing the incident.
A case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 376 for sexual harassment, 506 for criminal intimidation and 323 for causing voluntarily causing hurt was registered at Wakad polcie station. The case is being investigated by assistant police inspector (API) DK Adhav. The two security guards were found to be originally from Assam, according to the police.
“The two have not been working for long at the society. The agency which employed them had not put them through police verification. I have called the head of the agency for questioning at 10 am tomorrow (Thursday),” according to API DK Adhav.
While the father of the child works in a private company, the mother conducts private tuition classes for children in the area, the police said.
