Youth murdered over an old rivalry in Yerwada, Pune

According to the police, the deceased Nehal Londhe and his friend Rahul Kamble, both residents of Yerawada, were attacked by a group of armed men while they were standing in a lane of the locality.

A youth was murdered over an old rivalry in Yerawada on Wednesday night.

A case in this regard was registered against the unidentified assailants at the Yerwada police station.

The incident occurred around 11.30 pm on Wednesday near Parnakuti locality in Yerawada.

According to the police, the deceased Nehal Londhe and his friend Rahul Kamble, both residents of Yerawada, were attacked by a group of armed men while they were standing in a lane of the locality.

Londhe died in the attack led by the unidentified goons with sharp-edged weapons while Kamble was critically injured and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

According to the information provided by Yerawada police, “Prima facie it seems that the murderous attack was the result of an old enmity between the assailants and the victim over some issue.

“The attackers came with a concrete planning and clear intention to murder the duo.”

The police have taken the statement of Kamble and started questioning the locals in order to identify the attackers.

A case of murder has been registered against the unknown accused persons under relevant section of the Indian Penal Code.
