2 killed in Hoshiarpur car-tempo collision
Two people were killed and five injured when a car and a tempo collided on Mahilpur-Phagwara road here on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Surinder Singh of Rehla and Gurpreet Singh of Binjon.

Two people were killed and five injured when a car and a tempo collided on Mahilpur-Phagwara road here on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Surinder Singh of Rehla and Gurpreet Singh of Binjon.
The accident took place near Pathrala village when a Tata 407 (HP 40 B 5735) going from Una to Jalandhar collided with a speeding Hyundai Santro (HR 03 C 2289) that was coming towards Mahilpur.
The two car occupants died on the spot and five people on board the tempo were seriously injured. Both the vehicles were badly damaged and one of the car occupants flung out of the vehicle’s front windshield.
The injured were taken to the Mahilpur civil hospital, from where three were referred to Hoshiarpur.
