Paramjit Kaur of Nurpur Sethan village, 7km from here towards Faridkot, and her partners in crime, Gurbhej Singh and Billa of Kotwal village, are whom district and sessions judge Fatehdeep Singh held guilty in the final hearing here on Tuesday evening.

Two years ago, a man, Rakesh (20), and Paramjit’s daughter, Pooja (18), had gone missing from the same village. Rakesh’s father, Roop Singh of Nurpur Sethan, had reported the disappearance.

After some days, Rakesh and Pooja were found dead in a field at the neighbouring Satianwala village. A case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against Paramjit Kaur and her two accomplices, who since then, were in the local central jail.
