315 cancer patients found in Nawanshahr: Survey

The health department's survey on cancer has detected 315 cancer patients till now. The survey began on December 1 and is still continuing. Another of the survey's findings have been that 392 cancer patients died over the past five years in the district.

Another of the survey's findings have been that 392 cancer patients died over the past five years in the district. The victims were suffering from various type of cancer including chest cancer, breast cancer, uterus cancer, mouth cancer and blood cancer.

District health officer Dr Garja Singh said that the department has also found 809 suspected patients, who were suffering from cancer. He said that around 3.5 lakh population of district has been covered till to date in this survey started from December 1 and will cover 6.40 lakh population of district soon.
