7-day research workshop begins at Pbi varsity

Aiming to develop research skills among research scholars, a week-long workshop on basics of research methodology and statistical analysis began at Punjabi university on Tuesday.

Aiming to develop research skills among research scholars, a week-long workshop on basics of research methodology and statistical analysis began at Punjabi university on Tuesday.

The school of management studies is organising the workshop, in which candidates from various universities from across the country are participating.

Inaugurating the workshop, Vice-Chancellor Jaspal Singh said management was needed at all levels and in different fields be it management of educational institutions, industry or running economy of a country.
Motivating the students, Singh said the students must use research workshops towards enhancing their research methodology skills and gain hands-on experience in analytical softwares.

Head of department GS Batra highlighted the purpose of the workshop and the achievements of the department during the last one year. He said the workshop would be helpful in enabling participants to define research problems and developing suitable methodology in a scientific way.

Co-ordinator of the workshop Ran Singh Dhaliwal proposed the vote of thanks. Dean academics AS Chawla was also present on the occasion
