76 physically-disabled persons get artificial limbs

National Small Industries Corporation Limited, Ludhiana, organised an artificial limb distribution camp at Viklang Sahayata Kender in Rishi Nagar on Friday.

Nearly 76 physically-disabled persons were provided artificial limbs, tricycle, wheelchairs and hearing aids. The camp was organised in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust.

Assistant deputy commissioner of police Nilambari Jagdale presided over the function. Assistant civil surgeon Dr KS Saini was the guest of honour. He appreciated the work being done by Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust.

Trust secretary Narinder Mittal said the centre had provided artificial limbs and other aids and appliances to 39,225 physically-disabled persons so far.
